Here's another review on some items I received from Born Pretty Store. This makeup brush kit is divine. I wear makeup every day, so having the right tools is essential. I only had maybe a couple brushes (eyeshadow brush, powder brush, eyeliner brush) to begin with, so I'm pretty ecstatic to have a full set of new brushes! The bristles are quite soft too. They come in a black roll-up makeup kit that organizes your brushes for easy identification.
This eyeliner has a brush tip that makes application quick and easy. It's great with details and accuracy too. This is great for when you are running late or need to touch up your cat eye look. If you have oily eyelids, it might smudge a little throughout the day (But I normally use it to map out my desired eyeliner shape and then use a waterproof eyeliner to fill it in). And for a $2.99 brush tip eyeliner, it's cheaper than most drugstore brands, so I think it's pretty decent for its price. Also I would really recommend this store on their falsies. You can see my false lashes review here (they are my favorite go-to lashes):http://delicatelyfierce.blogspot.com/2013/08/born-pretty-store-false-lashes-review.html.
In love with the items I received from Glint & Gleam via shoplately. I've heard many good things about Glint & Gleam from other bloggers, so I decided to check them out. About a year ago, my friend had this clutch and said she got it in korea (crushing my hopes of ever finding it). I was so surprised to find it on shoplately and knew I had to have it! I just love the geometric design of it. It also has a chain attached, so you can use it as a clutch or purse. As for the necklace, I think I'll be wearing it as an everyday piece. As much as I love chunkier necklaces, sometimes I don't like the weight. This weightless piece is comfortable and quite different from most necklaces. I love the 3-dimensional facets on this heart. It's designed beautifully, and I'm a bit obsessed. It's so simple, yet so complex design-wise. Also, just last week, I bought a Canon Rebel T3i dslr! <3 I plan to make more videos on youtube and do some vlogging (let's see how this plays out, haha).
Happy holidays everyone! I recently picked up this new coat from forever 21 the other day. I immediately fell in love with the lapels and leather sleeves. I have a tendency to buy clothes that don't actually keep me warm, so I'm pretty happy with this coat. It's made of wool so it's quite warm. Slight variation in the last photo, but decided to post it anyways (the lighting is so much better in the last one).
Currently on the lookout for a new years eve dress/outfit for a 20s-30s themed nye party. Will do a post about it hopefully.
Also, I recently set up my portfolio site (still in progress). If you are interested in graphic design and what I've been working on, please check it out at: cargocollective.com/aprilcheung.
Just sharing a few more pieces that caught my eye from dressvenus.com.
1. Loving this colorblocked top! The zipper details and white cuffs are lovely. I can imagine pairing this with some faux leather leggings and a pearl cat ear headband (which is something that I have still yet to acquire).
2. Loving this sweet 3D roses sweater. Just looking at it makes me want to feel it. It's the perfect dupe for the rose mesh sweater from American Apparel. This sweater would look the most flattering on petite girls or girls with narrow shoulders.
3. Lace everything. A sweet feminine jacket to throw over a LBD or something a little edgy.
4. Nothing like a pair of black heels to finish off any outfit. I picked these out because I love the criss cross straps in the front.

Because trying not to love you is like trying not to love the ocean.
And the disparity between what I am to you and what you are to me is so deep
Finally done with finals! I actually have time to blog over my 3 week break. The weather has finally become sweater weather, though it's been getting so cold lately, I've been on the lookout for some new coats. Dressvenus.com has a lovely collection of coats. I put together a wishlist featuring their coats. I just love the cut and style of the top far left one. It just seems so versatile and sharp and I love the clean lines. Also loving the lapels on these. Which is your favorite?
I think I'm going to start ending my posts with a quote:
"If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise.”
Ever since I picked up this oversized plaid flannel from the Rosebowl Flea Market for $6, I've been wearing it nonstop, like literally. It's so unbelievably soft. I pretty much wear this to sleep every night. It's also the perfect accessory to any fall outfit, not to mention it's a great layering piece. Loving it paired with this super soft raglan baseball tee.
Out of curiosity, what did you all dress up as for Halloween? I was Katherine Pierce from the Vampire Diaries for the night, which was quite simple to remake. The look consisted of luscious curls, leather pants, a leather jacket, and black tank top, and of course, some black booties. A bit difficult to recognize (I know) because I would actually wear this outfit (which explains why I already owned her entire ensemble) and because it's not exactly a "costume" per se, but that's besides the point. I didn't have cat ears.
